i agree!   i reckon they look pretty plain as well considering they cost almost the same as a VXR.

had a play on the motorway few weeks back with the last of the STi 2.5 lt's
come flying up my rear while i was sitting on 70mph and sat a meter of my rear, thought why not i knowwhat he is thinking and hit the sports button and off i went with him chasing, backed off to let him catch up  Grin then hit the throttle again, dont think this guy knew what was going on with the astra pulling on him, by the time i had backed off to exit he came screaming past doing well in excess of 100 and did lnot ook too happy as we gave him a wave  Smiley

I'm the biggest subie fan boi you will ever meet, but they totally lost me with the MY08... actually since the 01 they have lost the plot but I held in there... lol

I'd consider a MY07 "tuned by STi" Liberty, but they're too much even second hand (~65).

You shouldn't have much trouble rounding up WRX's (unless it's a launch fest in the wet and they don't like their clutch) STi might be more of an ask.... VRX has tremendous roll on / in gear power and next to no lag in my opinion, that is an advantage.

when your putting out 300bhp & 330lb/ft of torque a stock STi is up against some hard competition

BigM i can vouch for this car. in 2006 i was lucky enough to go for a ride in it . that was before it went to stage 3 from TMS. With stage 2 and Milltek (correct me if im wrong Aussie on the stage) it got up and moved.
