Yeh it is a really nice car... 300bhp... almost all wheel drive... but i think that a VXR with a RARB, LSD, and Eibach Pro springs they would be a close match up in handling terms... Performance wise put a map and exhaust on ours and it would be pretty close too! Though I think we would need Stage 3 or 4 if the RS was mapped aswell!  Grin

Yeh,  I know modded we are there on paper and handling (with the right bits) would be close I guess...not sure about the 'trickery' with the RS handling but Im sure it has some serious hidden talent there too otherwise people wouldn't rave on about it so much. High demand in the UK for these little things. Am keen to see the vids once there are a few on the road -  road/track face off's between a stage 2 or 3 VXR and an RS.. its going to happen for sure.

Its not really a superior power/handling thing for me - its just a damn fine looking car (IMO) and has all the plastic bits you could ever want in a hot hatch with the grunt to match.

I love my car - but this thing with my photoshop mods really does it for me hey....not to mention the exclusive nature of one in Aust.

Reality check though - Import costs puts you in another league over here though price wise v car for money...so isnt really worth it unless you're loaded!!

Hey Tim,
I thought I was the only one thats obssessed with this beast man. I have pretty much seen all recent test drive review and clips.

Basically, they say...

1. Immense power delivery (more so than the new STI)
2. It handles like a 4WD and drags u out of corners even foot down
3. Its almost an adv its a front drive--> light yet behaves like 4WD ( no torque steer, understeer).

Though all reviews were done in dry so who knows...

I was pretty pissed off wif my car in the wet today so if I had the dough, I ll ship it no Qs. I ll sleep with it for the first week LOL

Works out to be around 50k for the car??? Such a bargain if it is, makes our car SooOOoO expensive for wut we paid.

Yes Mate - more than a little obsessed...been a quiet day at work  Smiley so looked on youtube for vids etc... Last time I became this obsessed - I bought a VXR!..trouble is..this really is not an affordable or practical obsession that has any kind of realistic resolution after talking with an import company.. (+ I still love my car which gives me ample 'grins' without 'revo knuckle')

I think it still torque steers by all accounts...but its probably nothing compared to what we are used to.
Read the review in the latest EVO and also Top gear mag..Both rate it.

FPV need to learn from HSV and bring the damn RS to AU, do a limited run if they want and charge a premium... ship to order. They'd have a backlog of orders, mine included.  nutter

Yeah, wouldn't be too far off considering they're not getting many. Pity most of them probably won't hit the roads and will be kept in garages somewhere, especially at thier $60 asking price.
