Slimey a-holes!

Stole my work camera + lens, my laptop and my iPad. I thought it was safe leaving my work kit downstairs in the 'secure underground carpark'. Seems not!
Insurance will only cover up to $1000 because, despite you needing a key to get in to the area, 'multiple people have access so it is a common area'.
Up yours AAMI too!

Not quite a photographer! Just use it for site surveys and the like. Decent camera though, with 2 lenses (Sony Alpha 700 + Tamron 18-250 + a prime wide angle lens).
I have no idea why the alarm didn't go off! Police tested it again, locked the door, opened from the inside and all that happened is the doors all unlocked at once. Willing to take advice on how to get the bugger working.

Hope so too! They're not returning my calls anymore. SOBs.
Just had the glass replaced, $650 all up. $180 fee to do it after hours otherwise I'd have to wait until late next week. Obriens were the only one with it in stock. $650 could've gone towards a much more fun mod!
If I can't figure out this alarm, definitely time to get a Mongoose or something that does alerting.

this is bad news mate...i would love to catch these guys one day..
not sure if you know but do you press the lock button twice? cos that deadlocks the doors , so they would have to climb in through the window cos you cant open the doors from the inside.
there must be cameras in the secured parking lot NO??

C#$ts
& ditto for insurance companies !
My red VXR was written off a year ago now from storm damage and although it was de-registered and has found a new home
it was a pain spending months going bask/forward with insurance.
I am sure it was only through calling them everday that a decision on their behalf was made.
It was also not a pleasant experience seeing the car deteriorate sitting in a holding yard for four months.

That's just (I lost the battle with the swear jar!)!!!
As Pete said, press the button twice. I always deadlock my car for that reason.

What low life scum. Sorry to hear this has happen. Quick Question as pete mentioned? Are you deadlocking the car. i believe the alarm works on the deadlock active but check with the forums in the UK on that one.

I will have to figure out how the alarm works, or just get another one. AAMI aren't covering glass - my choice, I'm not rating 1 for life until next year so I don't want to pay the $400 excess + lost my no claim bonus. And nope, in the ACT.

Ah, do you need to press twice to turn on the alarm? What's the point of the button inbetween the 2 'sensors' on the roof? What does it do?
And no, no cameras unfortunately - I wish! This is in my apartment building with 12 apartments, so I guess they skimped on cameras?

You need to push the lock button on the key twice. the second time you will hear a loud click. that is the dead locks activating.
