•   Performance 154 kW/210 hp - peak torque to 280 Nm
•   Mechanical multi-disc locking differential on front axle
•   Newly developed Bilstein performance suspension
•   Special high-performance brakes by Brembo
Rüsselsheim. The Corsa OPC is still increasing: available from mid-June "OPC Nürburgring Edition" based on the recently renewed Corsa combines power, performance and passion in high doses. From the new Corsa OPC version in the first year, about 500 units are planned. The price for this edition starts at 27 650, - €.
For the extra power reserves provide modified engine management systems and turbocharger, an exhaust system with reduced back pressure and the transition to 100-octane fuel. The performance of the 1.6-liter turbo engine OPC increases from 141 kW/192 hp to 154 kW/210 hp, the resulting flow rate from now 131.4 PS / l represents a peak in this class of its engine's maximum torque The basic version (230-266 Nm) increased to 250 to 280 Newton meters, the respective maximum value in the short time available on overboost is applied to the turbocharger.
To this dynamic potential, even at very high lateral acceleration, lane changing grip or side trips to the racetrack for effective implementation in advance, comes at the front axle, a mechanical slip differential is used.
Has also sharpened the chassis of the Corsa flagship model. The measures in this area include an even lower priced body, newly developed spring and damper units from Bilstein, and - as another high-tech gadgets - a new lightweight Brembo brake system of the specialists at the front with specially developed high-performance brake pads. The control algorithms of the chassis-side assistance systems, ABS, traction control TC and the electronic stability program ESP were specialists at the Opel Performance Center, the new configuration accordingly reconfigured.
Of the visual highlights of the Corsa OPC "Nürburgring Edition" includes two new, exclusively reserved for exterior colors - available in apple green or the color of "henna", a reddish hue, as well as newly designed 8 x in 18-inch forged aluminum wheels matt gray finish, combined with the tire size 225/35 R 18 V. Other distinguishing features are the existing Corsa OPC a front spoiler lip, a new twin-pipe exhaust system made of stainless steel and Nürburgring logos on the B-pillars. The interior is striking with entry-skirts (black, red lettering "Nürburgring"), white stitching on the front Recaro sport seats, the back seat and the hand brake and gear shift console. There are also special Nurburgring embossed in the front seats and a steering wheel insert in Piano Black.
Superior performance - superior driving pleasure
The driving performance standard values indicate only how the Corsa OPC "Nürburgring Edition" feels. After 6.8 seconds to 100 km / h is reached, and the elasticity of benefits from the powerful torque curve: the intermediate sprint from 80 to 120 km / h in 5th Gang completed the compact sports in 6.2 seconds and is 230 km / h even in the very front top speed in its class.
The Corsa OPC "Nürburgring Edition" emphasizes once again the solidarity of Opel with the traditional circuit in the Eifel. His brilliance was the Corsa driving dynamic top model as well at testing and test drives at the maximum load on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, the most demanding race track.
the world. Being worked out, the fun potential in no way limited to speed and handling precision, the sound is also included: the newly developed exhaust system was not only technically efficient but also acoustically tailored to the character of the vehicle.
As for the Corsa OPC "Nürburgring Edition" constitutes the core of his being, Opel brand ambassador and OPC performance driving trainer Joachim "Jockel" Winkelhock accurately with typically sly smile and homely colored diction to the point: "You fährscht, fährscht and fährscht - and magscht garnet mer get out. Vauxhall just photoshopped a griffin badge on to the Opel pics  Grin
and mirror imaged the others so they appear to be right hand drive lol

Yeah OPC have done good with this one, shame the astra didnt got ahead in the end, seen the test mule at the Opel development centre last year, light weight front seats, half cage, uprated 4 pot brakes and suspension, recession hit and the project was canned with the donar cars turned into opc race camp specials, the corsa is not as hard core but its still more than anything else they have done in a long time........

I wont be spending over 22 grand on a corsa thats for sure, bit more will get me something much better and more reliable lol

I would have the meg rs 250 cup over this corsa any day, people hammer the renault for build quality but the 250 is miles ahead of the corsa in that department and everything else on offer in the package, we did look at replacing our corsa vxr with one but have decided its time to play with M power. We paid £15k for our corsa almost 4 years ago, that was with metallic paint, 18's and climate, its been a fun little car but the build quality in some areas lol
I just found our glove box lid falling off so I need to buy another, we don't even use the glove box as its hardly one to begin with lol and our front bumper in some areas is held in place by windscreen silicon to stop it popping out on the sides even after having the clips replaced lol luckly for us no engine our wheel bearing issues like many but then we don;t drive it often...........Would I pay over £23 grand with options for another corsa  Grin
8 grand more will get us a good mileage 08 E92 V8 M3 with plenty of options and a 12 month unlimited mileage warranty through BMW used cars, n brainer really  Wink

For the record its been a fun little car and served its purpose well, but for £15 grand for what I got I couldn't complain.........
